The Swaziland Solidarity Network is reporting this morning (10 March 2011) that Barnabas Dlamini, Swaziland’s Prime Minister, has resigned.
An SSN statement reads,
SWAZILAND’S (SECOND TO) LAST PRIME MINISTER FIRED?
In what may come as good news to some but irrelevant to most, the country’s last prime minister and the country’s first illegally appointed one, Dr. [Barnabas] Sibusiso Dlamini, has reportedly resigned from his post.
The reasons for his resignation are still unclear. However it is highly unlikely that this is a decision had absolutely nothing to do with the king.
Chances are he was fired. More news on this change of personnel in Swaziland’s ailing government will be posted as they come through.
