FANTASY WATCH: AIRPORT UPDATE

Those of you following my new game Fantasy Watch will be pleased to hear that Swazi King Mswati III, sub-Saharan Africa’s last absolute monarch, has brought forward the completion date of the Sikhuphe International Airport to March 2010.

Previously, the date was set for June 2010.

The king told this to an audience in Kuwait where he was trying to get people to invest in Swaziland’s, energy and power generation, mining, ICT, research, science and technology and agri-business.

He said, ‘Swaziland is an ideal safe, secure, stable and investor-friendly destination, which boasts world class infrastructure. The completion of Sikhuphe International Airport in March 2010 will further improve our standing.’

Write that down: March 2010. We will keep you to your word King Mswati.

(Editor's note: For those of you who like to record these things, this is the 1,001st post on Swazi Media Commentary since it began in July 2007).
