Major move to force govt out

MANZINI – Teachers have resolved to mobilise stakeholders to participate in a nationwide action aimed at forcing the present government out of office.

They said the government led by Prime Minister [Barnabas] Sibusiso Dlamini has failed to serve the nation with integrity and truth.

Teachers said the action intended to find a solution to the economic problems; hence a government with dirty hands should go home.

They said workers in different unions and federations alongside members of the security forces and their wives should be mobilised to revolt against a government that oppressed its people. They said the current government should go home because it failed to serve the nation with dignity and truth.

Some of the teachers said cabinet and people who corruptly benefitted from the system of governance were responsible for the financial problems.

They then resolved to hire buses countrywide to ferry teachers and mobilise sympathisers to a mass meeting at SNAT centre at a date yet to be announced. Sibongile Mazibuko, the President, said certain teachers should target school committees and wives to security forces members.

Mazibuko said members of the security forces should be deprived of sexual pleasures by their wives. She said their wives should force them to show sympathy to those who want change in the country.

Themba Mkhaliphi said SNAT should seek support from the Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions (SFTU), Swaziland Federation of Labour (SFL), Swaziland National Association of Nurses (SNA) and National Public Service and Allied Workers Union (NAPSAWU).

Siboniso Mavuso, a teacher and gospel preacher, said God did not like what government was doing to His people. Mavuso said pupils should be mobilised to participate in the nationwide action.

"Let them kill us with our pupils. God doesn’t like this," he said.
