BAIL APPLICATIONS ADJOURNED

The bail application for Maxwell Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Union of Students and Musa Ngubeni of PUDEMO’s youth wing, SWAYOCO, was adjourned today (21 April 2011) until Tuesday (26 April 2011).


The state brought three witnesses to testify against the couple who are charged with being in possession of explosives, and thus contravening Sections 8 and 9 of Swaziland’s Explosives Act 4 of 1961.


Two witnesses today were the induna of Mbikwakhe area where Ngubeni lives and the induna of Mantambe where Maxwell has his home. The third was senior superintendent Clement Sihlongonyane from the CID.


The state wants to bring a fourth witness on Tuesday.
