WHERE IS KING MSWATI III?
The Southern Africa Reportjournal (13 April 2011) says ‘The king was absent as thousands of protesters took to the streets to face arrest and assault from security forces. Mswati left the country for an unknown destination several days before the 12 April kick-off for the protests. This is not unusual behaviour for the 42-year-old monarch, who is keen to be seen to be above disputes involving the common citizenry while keeping a tight hold on the strings pulling his ministers and advisors.’
