YCLSA Media statement on Swaziland bailout

The Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] fully supports the call by the Swaziland Solidarity Network, that the South African government should not bailout the collapsing illicit Swaziland government.

The YCL is off the view that instead of helping the exploitative government of Swaziland the South African government should be utilising this opportunity to demand for a democratic change in Swaziland.

People of Swaziland are struggling against the same political gangsters and the same economical exploiters that the African National Congress and its alliance struggled against pre- 1994, it may be a black government, its may be people of the same nationality, but exploitation is the same.

We would like to state categorically that there must be no bailout for Swaziland, up until all political organisations are unbanned, up until the political prisoners are released, until all political organisation meet to map the future of a democratic Swaziland. There must be no bailout outside these demands.

Our revolutionary mantra on achieving Socialism in our lifetime is not a mere catchphrase but an ideologically consistent belief that true democracy can only be attained when all forms of exploitation and oppression of one man by another are vanquished, not only at home, but to all the peoples of the world.

If any government, at home and abroad seek to undermine our revolutionary course we will continue to fight and reprimand those who are perpetrators. We shall continue to mobilise our members against such government and it collaborators and funders.
