CALLS FOR SACKING OF MISOGYNIST WRITER

A campaign is running to have Qalakaliboli Dlamini, the Times Sunday columnist who wrote that battered women only had themselves to blame when they were attacked, sacked from the newspaper.

Emails and phone calls have been sent to the editor of the newspaper and to the newspaper’s ‘ombudsman’ whose job it is to deal with readers’ complaints. Phone contacts for the ombudsman are (+268) 7602 9562 or (+268) 24041550.

A campaign running on Facebook calls for people to contact the ombudsman and voice ‘your disgust at the misogynistic garbage that is being spread in the Times’.
