SWAZI COPS HUMILIATE MUSA HLOPHE

Pro-democracy campaigner Musa Hlophe has written about the ‘humiliation’ of having his home raided by Swaziland police who claimed he had bombs or bomb-making equipment.

Hlophe, coordinator of the Swaziland Coalition of Concerned Civic Organisations (SCCCO), said he believed they were looking for an excuse to put him in prison.

Writing in his regular column in the Times Sunday, an independent newspaper in Swaziland, he said, ‘Seven police officers came into the house, while a number remained outside, hopefully, to catch me or even gun me down in case I tried to run away.’

Once inside they started searching every book in the house (for bomb making equipment?)
