The first man to be arrested under King Mswati III’s war against his own people appeared in court yesterday (17 November 2008) on terrorism charges.
The BBC reported that six police cars, two mini-buses and 15 fully armed riot police officers equipped with teargas were on hand at the court in Siteki when the president of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) Mario Masuku appeared. He did not enter a plea and was remanded until 24 November.
