International support for democracy in Swaziland is growing.
In a statement the CPF says it wants to work with the people of Swaziland ‘to achieve a democratic revolution in Swaziland, to establish democratic rule and an end to feudalism and exploitation’.
It goes on to say, ‘The condition of people in Swaziland is one of the worst in the world, with the highest rates of poverty and HIV.
‘We call on the international community to take appropriate steps to end the abomination taking place by the rule of the Mswati monarchy.’
The CPF also calls for the immediate and unconditional release from jail of Mario Masuku, president of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) who has been in prison since November 2008 awaiting trial after being arrested under the Suppression of Terrorism Act.
