PM SAYS GOD SUPPORTS LAND SCAM

Barnabas Dlamini, the illegally-appointed Prime Minister of Swaziland, has implied that God supported him and his colleagues in their scam purchase of land at up to 50 percent discounts on its true value.

Dlamini, with four members of the Swazi Royal Family and at least nine cabinet ministers (past and present), were given permission to buy the land by Lindiwe Dlamini, Minister of Housing and Urban Development.

The land was not advertised for sale and Lindiwe Dlamini says she let the politicians have the land cheaply because she could do so.

Now, Barnabas Dlamini has claimed that he has done nothing wrong and even sought God’s advice before going ahead with the purchase.

Barnabas Dlamini’s comment will shock many Christians who do not believe that God would sanction the greed and cronyism that the land-scam purchase has exposed.

Earlier this week the Swazi Parliament debated a vote of no confidence against Lindiwe Dlamini and set up a select committee to urgently investigate the circumstances of the sale.

The Times of Swaziland, the kingdom’s only independent daily newspaper, reported Barnabas Dlamini saying, ‘The allocation was done in an angelic manner, not through the ways of the devil.’

He said the ministers needed the land so they could have houses built for them. He added, ‘When we got into office, we found that ministers were scattered all over the country living in houses of spouses and some in flats. There is a need for a minister to maintain certain standards regarding the house they live in, the location of the house and the cars they drive. We prayed when tackling this matter.’

Barnabas Dlamini revealed that the land-scam is far from over. He told the Times, ‘Presently, there are other ministers who are in line waiting to be allocated the land.’
