FEARS FOR ACTIVIST HELD BY POLICE

It is reported that former Times of Swaziland journalist and well-known trade union and human rights activist Manqoba Nxumalo was this morning (22 June 2011) arrested by a group of more than 20 police officers both in uniform and non-uniformed. He is believed to be held at Manzini police headquarters. His mother is said to fear he might be murdered in the same way that Sipho Jele was in May 2010 and is pleading for help.
