It confirms that the leadership of the campaign is in the hands of all civic organisations in Swaziland.

A Salute to All Civic Organizations

The organising committee of the APRIL 12 SWAZI UPRISING would like to salute all the civic organizations who responded positively to our calls for a national uprising. We wish to make it clear that the leadership of this campaign is their responsibility. Ours is uniting them and mobilising the unemployed and unaffiliated people of Swaziland.

We also wish to make it clear that after the fall of the Tinkhundla regime, these civic organizations will be guaranteed a stake in shaping the future of the country.

To the oppressor, King Mswati III, we only wish a peaceful retirement. He has more than enough children and grandchildren to keep him busy without having to pretend to have a clue on how a modern nation is run.

The time for autocratic and oppressive governments in our motherland, and the world over, is well and truly over. Our primary aims as a nation are: the eradication of poverty, ignorance and lack of health. We further wish to urge all Swazis to join our uprising as it will be beneficial to all.

this is the kind of talk that would have done a whole lot of a difference had it come at a right time but now after what transpired with some of us swazi citizens who did not share the same thoughts and ideas of violence but fully supported a peaceful transition from the tinkhundla to a more democratic system of gov.i left the uprising group with a bitter pill after i was insulted and called spy for not sharing the idea of a violence yet we were putting forward ways that would still achieve the same goal with less casualties and i must say its not just me a lot of other people i knw.@Inkunzi mafebane
