This video shows Manqoba Nxumalo, a journalist and activist from Swaziland, interviewed by Voice of America TV. He talks about the power of King Mswati III, the last absolute monarch in sub-Saharan Africa, and how the opposition movement is calling for basic forms of democracy, including freedom of speech and assembly.

He says that there is a strong opposition, but that the Swazi king is not listening or reading the mood of his subjects.

Nxumalo also talks about the lack of freedom of the press in Swaziland.

The video was uploaded to YouTube on 4 May 2011.
