BBC AT SWAZILAND BORDER BLOCKADE

Last Thursday (18 September 2008) attempts to block the border between Swaziland and South Africa were thwarted by police who stopped pro-democracy protesters on their way to the demonstration.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) had a reporter at the border who reported live for the BBC World Service Programme Africa Today. Also on the programme was a representative of the South Africa Young Communist League and Swaziland Government spokesperson, Percy Simelane.

The audio clip lasts about 8 mins 30 secs.
